Coco And Breezy!
Coco & Breezy is a fashion accessory company based in NY. The company was founded in 2009 by Corianna (“Coco”) and Brianna (“Breezy”) Dotson, both African American and Puerto Rican identical sisters. They’re known for their phenomenal sunglasses which have been worn by such celebrities as Kelly Osburne, Nicki Minaj, Amber Rose and Serena Williams. They have spoken at many schools and even posed for fashion illustrator sketch nights. Recently, they had their first pop-up shop in Los Angeles, California and there were rumors that Adidas will be enlisting the design help of the sisters in one of their upcoming projects. Congrats Coco and Breezy! We hope to create more young and motivated individuals like you!
For those of you who have not heard yet, according to abc.com, nearly 300 teen aged girls were abducted from their school in Nigeria on April 15. Police have said that some were able to escape but 276 remain kidnapped. Gunmen abducted the girls from their dormitories at the Government Girls Secondary school in Chibok. One girl told the New Yorker that militants dressed in Nigerian military uniforms came into their dorms and told the girls they were being taken to a safe space. They were placed in trucks and on motorcycles and driven away as the militants shouted “Allahu akbar,” which means God is great. Some of the girls have been taken across Nigeria’s borders, to Chad and Cameroon, to be sold into marriage, according to the Associated Press.
As of now, there is a lot of pressure on the Nigerian president as protesters take over the streets in Nigeria and people campaign about it all over the world. The social media campaign has gained momentum with celebrities, such as singer Mary J. Blige, offering their support. Education advocate and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl who made a miraculous recovery after being shot in the head by the Taliban, posed in a picture with the #BringBackOurGirls poster and many more are voicing their concern.
I really do hope and pray these girls remain unharmed and are returned to their families as quickly as possible. Bring Our Girls Back!

What the…. ?
First Kanye West in the kilt, then Wiz Khalifa in leggings, now this….
Kid Cudi wore this red crop top to Coachella 2014 and lots of people seemed to really like it. I must give it to Cudi. He’s bold for this one. Besides the fact that it doesn’t surprise me how lots of male celebrities are taking more fashion risks, I kind of adore how some men who are confident with their sexuality can be so fashionably diverse.
What are your thoughts?
That’s all for today!
